Made by hand, by one Dad.

No ads and no tracking. Every photograph is real. Here’s how the site is put together, and what we do with your information.

Who made it

Bereaved Fathers Day was started by Matt in Melbourne in 2026, after his son Parker passed on. Read our story.

Every photograph on this site is real. The line drawings were drawn by hand by Parker’s family, and some lines were cleaned up with digital tools, including AI.

Type: Source Serif 4 and IBM Plex Mono. Colours: paper, ink and oiled timber. Built as a small, fast site that works without JavaScript.

The words we use

  • We say little one and passed on.
  • Dad always takes a capital D.
  • This site is for Dads first, whatever the loss: a lifetime, a few years, a few months, a few hours, or never getting to hold them. All parents are welcome.

Your privacy

This site doesn’t collect anything that identifies you.

  • No cookies, no ads, and nothing that follows you around the web.
  • We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you. It tells us how many people come and which pages help, nothing more.
  • Everything on the page, the type and the drawings included, comes from this site. The only exception is that small Cloudflare counting script. Nothing else loads from another company unless you follow a link out.
  • Anything you type into the message builder stays on your phone or computer. We don’t send it or keep it.
  • The home page remembers, for the rest of your visit, that its drawing has already been drawn, so it doesn’t draw again. That note stays in your own browser and is gone when you close the tab.
  • Like every website, the site’s host, Cloudflare, keeps basic technical records of requests to keep the site running and secure. We don’t use them to identify anyone.
  • If you message us on Instagram, Instagram’s own privacy terms apply. We use what you send only to reply, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
